The Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province recently released a list of Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Centers (GETRC) in 2022, on which there are five subsidiaries from GMC awarded the title after expert review.

GETRC is a key platform for high-level engineering technician attraction and cultivation that engages in industrial generic technology R&D activities and sci-tech achievements transfer and transformation through industry-university-research cooperation, aiming to serve the industry's high-quality development. At present, there are a total of 27 GETRCs in Guangzhou.
 

Five New GETRCs From GMC

Guangzhou No.2 Municipal Engineering Group Co., Ltd.:

Guangdong Municipal Engineering Technology Research Center of Intelligent Road and Bridge Construction 

The Center has developed comprehensive packaged construction technology for bridge and tunnel engineering, comprehensive construction technology for green and environmental protection engineering, road and drainage engineering, and prevention technology targeting common quality problems of large-scale earthwork and foundation engineering and decoration, and other core technologies. Committed to developing intelligent and digital engineering construction technologies for enterprises, the Center has obtained 14 national invention patents and over 100 utility model patents by origin.

Guangzhou Xiean Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. of Guangzhou Engineering Contractor Group Co., Ltd.:

Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center of Energy- and Material-saving Construction and Digital Management 

Focusing on the research and industrialization of energy-and material-saving construction and digital management engineering technology, the Center devotes itself to innovation in conserving energy and reducing materials. Working with universities, it carries out long-term research on projects of industrializing construction waste recycling and cultivates more high-level professionals proficient in material-saving construction and digital management. The Center boasts 71 authorized intellectual property rights, including 8 invention patents, 57 utility model patents, and 6 software copyrights.

 ▲ "The door for ward quarantine", an achievement developed by the "Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center of Energy- and Material-saving Construction and Digital Management" of Guangzhou Xiean Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., has been applied to the Renovation Project of the Critical Care Center for Major Respiratory Infectious Diseases, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University.

Guangzhou No.3 Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.:

Guangdong Provincial Building Construction (Guangzhou No.3 Construction Company) Engineering Technology Research Center

Research of the Center covers deep foundation pit reinforcement, special-shaped structure construction, prefabricated building, intelligent construction, green and energy-saving construction, and other projects, involving all aspects of on-site construction and process management. Its research comes from project sites and can be implemented to solve on-site problems. The Center has developed 1 national construction method, 99 provincial construction methods, 9 national invention patents, and 42 utility model patents.

Guangzhou Dunjian Underground Engineering Co., Ltd.:

Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center of Traffic Tunnels Based on Information-based BIM Technology

Following the trend of intelligent interconnection, ecological conservation and environmental protection, and space intensification in the construction industry, the Center takes active steps to develop new technologies and materials for construction, put research results into use, and formulate industrial standards. To do this, it carries out construction safety monitoring, quantity calculation, hierarchical control of construction plans, techniques for constructor positioning, and other research based on BIM technology. Since its establishment, the Center has obtained 7 national invention patents, 34 utility model patents, and 2 computer software copyrights. In the past three years, it has realized the commercialization of 25 scientific and technological achievements.

GMC Bay Area Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd.:

Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center of Industrialized and Intelligent Construction

Focusing on China's major strategic needs to develop a new style of construction industrialization and intelligent construction, the Center carries out research on construction industrialization designs, mechanized construction technology of prefabricated buildings, key technologies related to MIC, green manufacturing of components and parts, building information technology, and other fields, aiming to promote the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry. The Center has passed the PCT examination with 5 patents and obtained 6 national invention patents and 7 utility model patents.
