Recently, China Building Decoration Association announced the list of the second batch of projects selected for the 2021-2022 China Architectural Engineering Decoration Award. The building curtain wall engineering and detailed design of building curtain wall engineering of Guangzhou Knowledge City Building EPC Project of GMC's Decoration Group was successfully selected for the award. China Architectural Engineering Decoration Award is the highest honor in the architectural decoration industry in the country. Both the design creativity and construction technology of the awarded projects must reach the leading level in China.

Looking back on 2022, with its craftsmanship spirit of being meticulous and striving for perfection and high-quality construction, GMC has been recognized by industry experts and won eight 2021-2022 China Architectural Engineering Decoration Awards.
 

The building curtain wall engineering and detailed design of building curtain wall engineering of Guangzhou Knowledge City Building EPC Project

The project consists of 3 high-rise buildings, their podium buildings and basements. The total building height reaches 76.5 meters, and the total building area exceeds 190,000 square meters. The main curtain wall types of the project's facade include semi-hidden frame glass curtain wall, stone curtain wall, aluminum plate curtain wall, aluminum alloy louver, glass railing, stainless steel door pocket, and glass awning. The stone curtain wall has high requirements for appearance, and accounts for a large proportion. It is difficult to control color difference, and to construct the steel structure of the suspended ceiling of the aerial platform.
 

Bid Section I of Office Building Secondary Decoration Works of Tianhe Shanglv 12-1 Project

The project is located in the north of Tianhe North Road and west of Linhe East Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City. The scope of works covers the office area, elevator car, elevator hall and walkway, floor and wall surface of toilets and tea rooms, ceiling decoration, electrical lighting, water supply and drainage and HVAC works of the 8th~29th floors (except the 18th, 28th and 29th floors) of the office building. The decoration area is nearly 40,000 square meters.

The construction technology of "free of hanging adhesive for new indoor rock slabs" applied in the construction of the front room wall of the elevator hall was one of the scientific and technological innovation achievements of Guangdong architectural decoration industry in 2021, and has reached the advanced level in China according to the appraisal committee organized by Guangdong Construction Industry Association.

The ceiling of the front room of the elevator hall shall be white translucent soft film ceiling, of which the installation is prone to wrinkles, falling, insufficient flatness and other problems. The project team innovatively used the prestressed tensioning construction technology for soft film ceiling to solve those problems, and published the technological achievement in the journal Building and Electricity.
 

Panyu Tianhe City Phase I and Phase II Project

Panyu Tianhe City is located in the core part of Changlong Wanbo Area. The project includes a 200-meter-high office building and its podium, and a 160-meter-high apartment building and its podium. The office building's podium involves open-joint aluminum plate curtain wall, glass curtain wall with horizontally concealed and vertically exposed frame, and glass exterior wall corridor; SOHO podium mainly involves open-joint aluminum plate curtain wall and glass curtain wall with horizontally concealed and vertically exposed frame.
 

Curtain Wall Installation Works of Hilton Changsha Riverside Project

The project is located in the core position of Hunan Financial Center in Binjiang New Town, Changsha. Beside the Xiangjiang River, it is another urban landmark in the city. The curtain wall works of the project covers an area of about 43,000 square meters. The complex consists of a tower, a corridor and a podium. The tower is 241 meter high and the podium is 29.3 meter high. The implementation of the project features the high tower, and the large number and area of curtain wall units. During the transportation process, the project team designed special transportation racks to transport them together with the units as a whole. At the same time, tower cranes, winches and small cranes are used for vertical transportation to effectively prevent damage to the unit plate during hoisting.

Comprehensive repair and maintenance project of guest rooms on Floor 11-17 of Garden Hotel 

The Garden Hotel consists of two Y-shaped buildings, i.e. Hotel Building and Garden Building, with a floor area of 170,000 square meters. The construction scope of the project is the standard guest room floors of the 11th-13th floors of the hotel, including decoration works for 81 guest rooms, public corridors, elevator halls, and service rooms. The overall decoration is made of warm color materials, the overall color of the space is light yellow, and the indoor environment is warm and elegant. The overall design style is simple, graceful and exquisite. With lacquer paintings and antique reproduction furniture of Lingnan style, it shows the perfect integration of Lingnan culture and contemporary art.
 

Comprehensive repair and maintenance project of guest rooms on Floors 3-10 in the Middle Section of Building 1 of Dongfang Hotel

The main construction contents of the project include the reconstruction project and the layout of structural space pipelines of indoor old decoration demolition of Floors 3-10 in the middle section of Building 1 of Dongfang Hotel. Due to the influence of environment and space in the process, the pipelines are seriously crossed and crowed. Therefore, the project team is equipped with a strong technical force to coordinate professional teams day and night to carry out construction, demonstrating outstanding professional ability.

Fine Decoration Works of Guangzhou Nansha 2015NJY-10 Plot Project

The project is one of the landmark Grade A office buildings in Jiaomenhe Central Area, Nansha District, Guangzhou. It is a commercial and office building with 23 floors above ground and 2 floors underground. The decoration works involves a floor area of 11,146 square meters. The project team has carried out fine management on the construction of the project from the aspects of technology, quality, safe and civilized construction, environmental protection, and occupational health. The quality of the project has been praised by all parties.
